I wanted to share the before and after photos of my mother-in-law’s bathroom. This is the bathroom that was used by my husband and his two brothers growing up. Now that they are all out of the house, it was time for a change to something more elegant and feminine.

The walls received a fresh coat of paint in a nice, neutral color. The shower curtain was replaced with the white and gray one from Target. The gray matching towels,white roman shade curtain, and white soap pump with silver accents are also Target finds. The black and white flower photos are ones Diana took herself of her own flowers and framed in $4 silver frame found on clearance.

Of course, the biggest change is no more pink countertop! Yes, you can paint your countertop. She used Benjamin Moore oil based enamel and sanded between coats. If it was a high use bathroom, a coat of polyurethane would be a good idea.
